Mexico - March 16, 2019

Monday, March 18, 2019 is Benito Juarez Day; an official national holiday in Mexico. There will be no Customs Clearance or Deliveries.  Normal operations will resume on Tuesday, March 19.

Switzerland - January 18, 2019

The weather in the eastern part of Switzerland has stabilized. Postal operations resumed on Thursday, 17 January 2019, with the exception of a few homes that remain isolated.

Switzerland - January 14, 2019

Heavy snowfall is affecting delivery in the Alpine region of the Canton of Graubünden, in the eastern part of Switzerland. Closed roads and strong avalanche warnings are making it difficult or even impossible to deliver postal items in postcode areas 72xx, 73xx, 75xx, 76xx and 77xx. It is currently not possible to predict when normal postal operations will resume as the snowfall is expected to continue over the next few days.

Austria - January 11, 2019

Since January 7, 2019 heavy snowfall is impacting the operational processes in Austria. The snowfall has resulted in closed roads and has cut off many villages across the Alps.

Avalanche warnings prohibit collection and delivery of letter mail and parcels in the zip code areas mentioned below.

Currently it is not predictable when normal postal operation will resume as the snowfall is still going on.

Lower Austria: 3100-3399, 3800-3999

Upper Austria: 4400-4599, 4800-4899

Salzburg: 5000- 5799

Tyrol+Vorarlberg: 6000 – 6999, 9900-9999

Styria: 8600-8999

Ukraine - January 11, 2019

The State Enterprise of Special Post, is currently dealing with a backlog of EMS mail. This follows the recent embargo on cargo and mail imports at Boryspil International Airport (KBP), and the significant increase in volumes of incoming international mail following the lifting of that embargo. Consequently, the processing and delivery of EMS items in Ukraine is currently taking longer than normal.


ANTIGUA and BARBUDA - January 8, 2019

Postal Staff at the General Post Office have been on strike since January 2, 2019. Globegistics will continue to accept and process mail and parcels, but volumes will be held at the International Sortation Centers (ISC) until the strike is resolved.

Australia - December 7, 2018

The severe weather and bush fires that affected parts of New South Wales, Australia, since November 30, 2018 have stopped. Postal services in the areas affected returned to normal as of Thursday, December 6, 2018.

Australia - November 28, 2018

As of November 28, 2018, a severe weather event, with rain and floods, in Sydney and neighboring parts of New South Wales, Australia, is impacting the collection and delivery of all mail products for the state (postcodes 2xxxx).

There will also be impacts on mail flows in and out of Australia due to large delays at Sydney airport and issue transporting the mail to/from the airport.

Canada - November 6, 2018

While negotiations continue, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) began strike action in Newmarket, Sarnia, Amherstburg, Delhi, St. Thomas and Owen Sound, Ont. and in Rouyn-Noranda, Val d’Or, La Sarre and Hautes-Laurentides, Quebec. Since October 22, CUPW’s rotating strikes have now shut down Canada Post’s operations in more than 100 communities across the country.

CUPW is also conducting strikes in Pickering, London, Scarborough and Barrie, Ont., Saguenay Lac St-Jean and Mont-Joli in Quebec, and Calgary, Edmonton, Medicine Hat and Lethbridge, Alta.

Strikes have ENDED in Simcoe, St. Catharines, Welland, Guelph, Fort Erie and Brantford, Ont.
