A general strike, affecting postal services, flights, transportation, government services, etc., has been called for Wednesday, November 7, 2018. This will result in delays in postal services in general, and EMS in particular.

Latin America - November 1, 2018

November 1 and 2, 2018 are holidays in parts of Latin America and may cause delays in deliveries of mail and packages in the following countries:

Chile – Customs will remain open to receive cargo but there will be no clearances or deliveries on November 1 and 2.

Brazil – Customs is closed on November 2 and no deliveries will be made.

Mexico – Customs is closed on November 2 and no deliveries will be made.

Colombia – there is no holiday and deliveries will be made.

Canada - October 26, 2018

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) began rotating strikes in Saint John, N.B., and Sudbury, Ont., at 12:01 a.m. and in Niagara Falls, Ont. at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 26 (local times).

Mail and parcels will not be delivered or picked up in the impacted areas while the union continues their strike activity.

Employees have returned to work in Red Deer and Calgary, Alta. and in Sherbrooke, Que., where 24-hour rotating strikes have ended.

Canada Post continues to operate across the rest of Canada and is accepting and delivering mail and parcels in all other locations.

Canada - October 24, 2018

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) has announced that it plans to continue their strike action in Toronto on Wednesday, October 24. The strike action began at 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday, October 23. This morning CUPW announced that Kelowna, BC would also be hit by rotating strikes starting at 6 a.m. PT today.

Canada Post continues to operate across the rest of Canada and is accepting and delivering mail and parcels in all other locations.

Canada - October 23, 2018

CUPW has given notice that it intends to hold rotating strikes in the Greater Toronto Area, (excluding Scarborough) and most of the 905-region beginning after 12:01 am on Tuesday, October 23.

Mail and parcels will not be delivered or picked up in Toronto during the rotating strike. However, Toronto is also a key processing hub for mail and parcels in Canada. The union’s rotating strike will therefore have a significant impact on Canada Post operations. Canada Post will make every effort to minimize the impact, but customers across the country may see delays for parcel and mail delivery.

Canada Post continues to operate across the rest of Canada and is accepting and delivering mail and parcels in all other locations.

Canada - October 18, 2018

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) has issued a strike notice, which means that they will be in a legal position to strike as early as Monday, October 22, 2018. Should rotating strike action occur, the postal service will continue to operate.

France - October 18, 2018

Extreme weather in the south of France have caused damages near Narbonne Plage and Gruissan on Monday October 15, 2018. Deliveries in the region can incur delays.

Indonesia - October 1, 2018

Services have been temporarily suspended for the following post codes as of September. 29, 2018 following a 7.4-magnitude earthquake and tsunami that caused extensive damage to buildings, roads, electricity and communications.

Processing and delivery of letter mail, parcels and EMS are currently suspended for Palu: 941xx to 942xx; Donggala, Parigi and Moutong: 943xx; and Mamuju Utara: 915xx.

Mexico - September 21, 2018

Due to continuous rainfall during September, 2018, delays in the delivery of mail and packages have impacted:
