Further to EmIS message May 6, 2019, the designated operator of Israel, Israel Postal Company, would like to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that all postal operations are now back to normal.

Israel - May 7, 2019

The designated operator of Israel, Israel Postal Company, asks us to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that, due to the security situation, there have been interruptions and delays in the distribution and collection of mail (letter post, parcels and EMS) in the south of Israel since Saturday, May 4, 2019.

Guatemala - April 29, 2019

After a two-year hiatus, effective April 6, 2019, Guatemala’s designated postal operator, Correos y Telégrafos, is now accepting inbound international mail.  For more information CLICK to view the Postal Bulletin (4-25-19) announcing the resumption of USPS services to Guatemala.


Asia - April 26, 2019

Although timing can differ by a month or so depending on the location in Southeast Asia, the Southwest Monsoon typically begins around early June and ends in late September. Thailand is especially affected by this pattern where the rainy season typically runs between May and October. Depending on the severity of the weather, local deliveries in monsoon-affected areas may be impacted during this season.

Philippines - April 25, 2019

A 6.1 magnitude earthquake occurred in Castillejos, Zambaleson on April 22, 2019.
All postal operations are suspended in Metro Manila and Pampanga provinces since Tuesday, April 23, 2019. Damage sustained in the following areas of Pampanga province may cause delays to postal services: Lubao and Porac.

Japan - April 25, 2019

April 29 and May 3 to 6, 2019 are National and public holidays in Japan, called “Golden Week.”
As the OEs and Custom Offices in Japan will not be closed during this period we do not expect any negative impact on our inbound and outbound operations for EMS items and parcels (we deliver EMS items and parcels 7 days a week including holidays in Japan.)

Mexico - March 16, 2019

Monday, March 18, 2019 is Benito Juarez Day; an official national holiday in Mexico. There will be no Customs Clearance or Deliveries.  Normal operations will resume on Tuesday, March 19.

Switzerland - January 18, 2019

The weather in the eastern part of Switzerland has stabilized. Postal operations resumed on Thursday, 17 January 2019, with the exception of a few homes that remain isolated.

Switzerland - January 14, 2019

Heavy snowfall is affecting delivery in the Alpine region of the Canton of Graubünden, in the eastern part of Switzerland. Closed roads and strong avalanche warnings are making it difficult or even impossible to deliver postal items in postcode areas 72xx, 73xx, 75xx, 76xx and 77xx. It is currently not possible to predict when normal postal operations will resume as the snowfall is expected to continue over the next few days.

Austria - January 11, 2019

Since January 7, 2019 heavy snowfall is impacting the operational processes in Austria. The snowfall has resulted in closed roads and has cut off many villages across the Alps.

Avalanche warnings prohibit collection and delivery of letter mail and parcels in the zip code areas mentioned below.

Currently it is not predictable when normal postal operation will resume as the snowfall is still going on.

Upper Austria: 4400-4599, 4800-4899

Salzburg: 5000- 5799

Tyrol+Vorarlberg: 6000 – 6999, 9900-9999

Styria: 8600-8999
